IDP and Aquatec are awarded the TA to implement GIS and BIM in the Cartagena Port Authority
The joint venture formed by Aquatec and IDP has been awarded the Technical Assistance for the implementation of GIS and BIM methodologies in the Port Authority of Cartagena.
Autoridad Portuaria de Cartagena (APC) is committed to a transformation of the technical office towards new working methodologies and a modern environment capable of managing its projects in a much more collaborative and efficient way. The BIM methodology and GIS representation systems are the two factors leading this transformation in the 4.0 digitalisation process.
The project aims to provide the APC with the knowledge, methodologies and tools to be able to manage projects under the BIM methodology, based on GIS technology for their development and/or exploitation and to maximise their performance through CMMS, tools such as ROSMIMAN; as well as to implement a GIS/BIM/ROSMIMAN ecosystem that allows the APC a powerful and comprehensive management of the complete life of the assets, from their conception and design, to their exploitation, and even decommissioning.
IDP and Aquatec have extensive experience carrying out GIS/BIM/CMMS, projects, especially in complex and critical infrastructure sectors such as ports, where they have developed multiple GIS and BIM consultancies for different organisations, both public and private.
