IDP awarded with the construction project of 9 state roads in Santa Satarina (Brazil)

The Infrastructure State Department (DEINFRA) of the Santa Catarina (Brazil) State Government with the Inter-American Development Bank IADB funding awards IDP an important engineering contract to develop construction projects in 9 state roads.

This contract belongs to the Santa Catarina Logistics Infrastructure Programme which aim is to make an investment for a 41km road construction, the paving of another 120 km and the renewal of more than 200 road km for a total value of US$367.510.000

In detail, IDP works will consist on the development of the engineering projects for the treatment of critic points and and passive environmental mitigations of 9 (A101F, SC-108, SC-390, SC-435, SC-437, SC-443, SC-445, SC.446, SC-447) with the main goals to adapt the logistic infrastructure to the mobility needs reducing the transport costs, improving the mobility and encouraging the exports, and also adapt the road infrastructure to the required road safety for vehicles and pedestrians and so reduce the traffic accidents.

It will be the first highway project developed in BIM “Building Information Modeling” in Brazil, working methods of the IDP is a leader in Spain and LATAM.
