IDP is awarded the project of R&D HYBRIS of the European Union

IDP coordinates the HYBRIS project, funded by the EU and part of the call “Hybridisation of battery systems for stationary energy storage H2020-LC-BAT-9”, of the Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Framework Programme.

HYBRIS has a budget of 4 million euros over 3 years and aims to optimize systems as highly efficient, economic and sustainable hybrid solutions in micro-network applications. It presents a fully systematic, collaborative and integrated approach to the development and deployment of an innovative battery-based hybrid energy storage system (LTO-Lithium Titanite and ORFB-Organic red flow battery), combining diverse and complementary state-of-the-art TRL 5-6 technology assets provided by leading industrial partners, universities and research centers, as well as ICT tools for viable and cost-effective optimization and further market introduction. All this by demonstrating and validating its concepts in 3 use case applications in 3 pilot sites in 3 countries (Italy, Belgium and The Netherlands).

The project is coordinated by IDP and involves a consortium of 15 top-level European companies and institutions from 6 countries.
