IDP participates in the “Herit4Ages” innovation project for sustainable conservation of cultural heritage buildings

The IDP Group participates in the innovation project, Herit4Ages “Efficient, sustainable and inclusive energy use” funded by the EU and framed in the call: HORIZON-CL5-2022-D4-02-03” which has as main objective to develop and validate a set of innovative, sustainable and resource and energy efficient technical and social solutions for the cost-effective improvement and conservation of cultural heritage buildings, while preserving their architectural and cultural identity.

To address these challenges Herit4Ages proposes five solutions, reversible and compatible with existing materials, offering the possibility of improving energy consumption, user comfort and reducing carbon emissions, while preserving cultural heritage values.

These solutions will be demonstrated in five heritage buildings in Spain, Portugal, Italy and Estonia. These buildings will serve as a testing ground to apply and demonstrate the proposed solutions in a real-life context.

IDP will participate in this project by designing the Digital Twin platform based on HBIM and the development of web services API for the optimization of accessibility, operation and maintenance of heritage buildings, through the integration of energy efficiency/simulation tools, LCA/LCC analysis tools, predictive maintenance algorithms and accessibility solutions.

The project will be implemented over 48 months and consists of a consortium of 12 high-level companies and institutions from Spain, Italy, Ireland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Estonia and Poland.
