This Friday was held the act of beginning of the urbanization works of the logistic sector Logis Montblanc, located in the municipality of Montblanc (Tarragona), promoted by CIMALSA.

Centrals i Infraestructures per a la Mobilitat i les Activitats Logístiques S.A.U. (CIMALSA), a public company of the Generalitat de Catalunya, is responsible for promoting, building and managing logistics and transport centers in Catalonia.

The Logis Montblanc sector has a total surface of 89 hectares, of which 356,000 m2 are contemplated as land for the installation of logistics and industrial companies, including the food distribution group Bon Preu, and about 39,000 m2 for tertiary activities.

The IDP Group has successfully completed the drafting phase of the construction project and will assume the management of the urbanization works, all of which will be carried out using the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology.

The event was attended by Ms. Ester Capella, Minister of Territory of the Generalitat; Mr. Oriol Pallissó, Mayor of Montblanc; Mr. Isaac Albert, President of Cimalsa and Mr. Joan Sabartés, Director of Operations of Bon PReu. The event was also attended by other representatives of the administrations and companies that are working together to make this important project possible.

The development of Logis Montblanc is a key project for the promotion of the logistics and industrial fabric of the region and will become an important economic and employment stimulus for the region.
