Past December 16h, Mr. Antoni Mª Grau, Director General for Industry of the Generalitat de Catalunya visited the IDP headquarters in Sabadell (Barcelona) and could see on first hand the potential application of BIM “Building Information Modeling” for the industry sector.

The BIM working methodology, supported by different specialized software’s, allows to design, project, organize and direct the digital construction of IDP’s projects, integrating all the information on one parameterized, complete, unique and centralized model that all the intervening agents will share during all the buildings life cycle

IDP started its strategy 7 years ago to impulse and implement the BIM environment to all the companies projects, this has allowed IDP to be a world referent in BIM technology contributing an added value to all its projects, with the goal to offer a better service to the companies clients and since then, IDP works with Open BIM in the companies 8 offices in 5 countries, the headquarters in Sabadell with more than 130 employees and also at the Madrid, Brazil (Florianopolis, Rio de Janeiro & Belem), Peru (Lima), Ecuador (Quito) & Chile (Santiago) offices.
