The IDP Group participates in the innovation project “Digichecks” “Digital environment for management of permits and compliance in building and construction”, funded by the EU and framed in the call: “HORIZON-CL4-2021-TWIN-TRANSITION-01” which aims to create and demonstrate a new unified environment based on digital technologies that enables interoperability and communication between platforms, to facilitate the management of construction permits, in line with the principle of sustainability, quality and efficiency of implementation.
DigiChecks proposes to build a digital framework to overcome the above challenges and pave the way towards a more agile approach to managing and processing permits.
In this project, 3 different pilots will be implemented where it is expected to result in applications capable of revolutionising the digitisation of permits and compliance in construction, as well as streamlining regulatory changes to facilitate their implementation in large-scale construction sites in the European Union.
IDP will lead the implementation and development of the Digital Twin platform, which includes BIM and GIS models, integrating all the components developed in previous phases. In addition, it will work on the development of the user interface and the connection with data sources, as well as the VR visualisation, associating specific 3D data and assets for compliance checks.
The project will be implemented over 36 months and consists of a consortium of companies and institutions from countries such as Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, France and Austria.
