HISTORY

IDP was born in the city of Sabadell as the initiative of 4 fellow students who were recent graduates of the Escuela de Ingenieros (the School of Engineers) in Terrassa at the age of 23.

After more than 25 years, the company is still led by the 4 founding partners with the support of Nazca. Their business project has become a global company, fully professionalised both with regards to human capital and to management tools, with top level references both in civil engineering and in building and environment. IDP is the leader in the development of projects using the BIM technology, with 10 offices in Spain and projects in 52 countries in the world; and with a vocation for continuous improvement and for a constant innovation and development.

    • Industries of elaboration, transformation, preparation, preservation and packaging of food for both human and animal consumption.
    • Chambers and logistics centers that ensure the storage, conservation and distribution of foodstuffs.
    • Fertilizer plants, integrated water cycle management, waste treatment, energy generation, etc.
  • Highly accredited experience with more than 2,000 projects carried out and put into operation for the meat, fishing, fruit and vegetable, dairy, bakery, beverage, agricultural and animal feed industries.
  • ECOINTEGRAL is the company of the group specialized in projects in the energy sector, with capacity for the development of projects of new execution and modernization of:
    • Electric transmission and distribution infrastructures (T&D): HV lines (EHV), substations (SSEE), MV and LV electrification, transformer stations.
    • Renewable energy generation plants: wind, solar photovoltaic, hydrogen, solar thermal, bioenergy, hydro and geothermal.
    • Sustainable mobility generation and charging systems: electric vehicles, advanced biofuels, renewable hydrogen, LNG and CNG.
  • Engineering for ENDESA since 2012, for Red Eléctrica Española (REE) since 2014, for Unión Fenosa Distribución (UFD) since 2015 and for Viesgo (EDP) since 2022, approved for the development of engineering services for electricity distribution and for the national system operator.
  • Highly accredited experience with more than 3,000 power transmission and distribution line projects, 250 wind farm projects and 200 photovoltaic farms completed and commissioned.
  • IDP DC is the company of the group specialized in Data Center, in alliance with Ingenium, leader in Data Center design in Latam with 15 years of experience, offering integral solutions of consulting, engineering, operation for the sustainability of infrastructures and mission critical facilities.
  • Highly accredited experience with more than 60 Data Center projects commissioned in 20 countries, more than 250 MW of data center capacity developed, 40 TIER certification processes, more than 200,000 m2 of clean rooms developed and a highly qualified multidisciplinary team with UpTime certifications.
  • Experts in stakeholder management to ensure our clients' investments, land qualification, power requirements, environmental procedures, etc.
  • IBERTEL is the company owned by the group specializing in the telecommunications sector:
    • Fiber optic networks
    • Remote sites and infrastructure
    • Radio and transmission design
  • It is today a prestigious reference in the provision of technical engineering services, working for the main operators in the sector: Vodafone, Telefónica, Orange, Cellnex, American Tower, etc.
  • Proven experience with more than 600 km of designed fiber optic networks and more than 3,000 mobile telephony remote site projects.

Nowadays, we are developing projects in 51 countries, in 4 out of the 5 continents (Africa, America, Asia and Europe), for the leading multinational companies as a strategic partner in their expansion projects.

Likewise, it shall be noted that IDP is a consultancy company on projects funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC), the World Bank (WB), the European Union (EU) and the United Nations (UN), among others.

  • We encourage recycling in offices with specific spaces and containers for each waste generated
  • We have eliminated single-use plastic in offices, installing water fountains, replacing plastic coffee cups with cardboard cups and replacing plastic cups in meetings with glass cups
