MAGNUM Project

The Magnum project, “A BIM-enabled platform for digital MAnaGemeNt of water footprint in tourism”, framed in the State Programme to Promote Scientific-Technical Research and its Transfer, of the State Plan for Scientific, Technical and Innovation Research 2021-2023, in the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

Budget: 645.269 euros

Duration: 36 months

Magnum aims to design a next-generation software ecosystem for sustainable hotel operation through Artificial Intelligence and BIM-based data interoperability. Built around the water footprint concept, Magnum will provide hotel operators with a highly operational platform that will provide advanced monitoring and control of the main environmental impacts related to the water footprint.

The project will allow guests to be part of the hotel’s water footprint management, offering them personalized recommendations on sustainable behaviors associated with the use of the hotel’s services

IDP will lead the development and implementation of the Digital Twin application for hotel assets relevant to water footprint management.
