HYCOOL-IT project

The HYCOOL-IT project, Hybrid Cool & management fot IT infrastructures, consists of proposing energy solutions for Data Centres.

OBJECTIVES

HYCOOL-IT aims to propose a comprehensive standardized set of processes, digital tools, and advanced adsorption equipment to achieve thermal management and energy optimization of tertiary buildings with high energy demanding IT rooms. HYCOOL-IT will develop a new set of replicable and cost-effective solutions to better understand the challenges of thermal management of IT server rooms, the project also focuses on a world-class modular adsorption solution to recover and valorize excess heat.
IDP will develop an ecosystem of ICT and software solutions for the assessment of software interoperability to demonstrate the implementation of IoT and other elements to contribute to building HYCOOL-IT ecosystems and promote data-driven decisions in tertiary buildings among decision-makers. The implementation of these IoT ecosystems and their operability through different tools and functions should be environmentally sustainable as it introduces very low environmental costs (both operational and integrated) resulting from the valorization of waste heat, to produce cooling or to integrate into heating utility networks.

HYCOOL-IT is funded by the EU under the call for proposals: “HORIZON-CL5-2023-D4-01-04”.
