The SAIMIS project aims to design, develop and implement an automated system based on drones and technological tools for the inspection of underground infrastructures.
The general objective is the design and development of a technological solution for the control and inspection in the maintenance phase of underground infrastructures (such as tunnels, galleries, shafts, urban sewerage system and underground canalisation networks, among others); based on the use of an unmanned aerial platform (UAV) and a geoBIM technological tool that allows the automatic storage and analysis of the captured information at a later stage.
