{"id":24727,"date":"2017-04-27T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-04-27T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.idp.es\/bim-interface-for-data-management-in-an-erp-enterprise-resource-planning\/"},"modified":"2022-09-21T15:12:21","modified_gmt":"2022-09-21T15:12:21","slug":"bim-interface-for-data-management-in-an-erp-enterprise-resource-planning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.idp.es\/en\/bim-interface-for-data-management-in-an-erp-enterprise-resource-planning\/","title":{"rendered":"BIM interface for data management in an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is a management information system that integrates and manages many of the businesses associated with production operations and distribution aspects of a company in the production of goods or services.<\/p>\n<p>ERP systems facilitate workflow tracking across multiple departments and reduce the operational costs involved in manual tracking and data duplication.<\/p>\n<p>User participation is very important for the successful implementation of ERP projects &#8211; therefore, comprehensive user training and user interface can be critical because ERP systems are generally difficult to learn (and use).<\/p>\n<p>In order to make ERP data interaction with users easier and to speed up the data exploitation curve, IDP has developed a friendly BIM interface that allows you to view, filter and modify the data that this System manages.<\/p>\n<p>For this purpose, the first step was to produce 3D models of the main IDP headquarters &#8211; Sabadell, Florian\u00f3polis, Lima and Santiago de Chile &#8211; using BIM editing software.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-116965 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.idp.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/BIM-ERP3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"576\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.idp.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/BIM-ERP3.jpg 800w, https:\/\/www.idp.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/BIM-ERP3-528x380.jpg 528w, https:\/\/www.idp.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/BIM-ERP3-768x553.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.idp.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/BIM-ERP3-500x360.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Each of these models has the different jobs identified with a code, which will be the one linking it with all the information that the ERP manages.<\/p>\n<p>This link materializes through a web and mobile application that allows the exploitation of this data.
