Cemengal awards IDP part of the engineering study of the new grinding plant of Holcim at the Abidjan
IDP receives the trust of Cemengal, the leader company of the cement-manufacturing sector, with the award of the part of the engineering study of the new grinding plant of the Swiss cement-manufacturing company Holcim to be executed at the Abidjan harbor in Ivory Coast, with a production capacity of 145ton/day.
Abidjan is the principal city of Ivory Coast, with a more than 5 million inhabitants in its metropolitan area, what makes it the most populated city in Occidental Africa after Lagos, and its harbor, connected with the Guinea Gulf is one of the principal ones of the area.
IDP’s works include the following engineering services:
– Civil Works associated to the grinder building and the solid mil (standing out the lying foundations of the solid mil that supports an overload of 6940kN + 9940kN static weight of the mill).
– Metallic structure of the grinding building and the boilermaker: ducts and hoppers.
With this performance, IDP holds onto the cement industry and consolidates its performance at the ports sector, where IDP currently develops a high number of projects in Europa, America and Africa.
