IDP has been awarded with the drafting works of the basic and executive projects for the renewal of the Banc Sabadell historic building located at Plaça Catalunya in Sabadell (Barcelona). This building has a total building surface of 34.500m2, distributed over 9 floors and two basements, and the project will draw an approximate investment of over 8 million US$.

Banc Sabadell is the fourth private financial group in Spain, founded in 1881 and integrated by different banks, brands, subsidiaries and participated societies encompassing all financial business areas.

IDP’s performance will consist in drafting the facilities, setting up environmental and safety prevention projects as well as assuming the responsibility for the design, calculation and measurements and for the subsequent facilities works management until its set up.

These projects will entirely be done thru BIM (Building Information Modelling) technology, which enables us to design, project, organize and direct the digital construction of the project and its subsequent works. It integrates all the information in a parametrized, complete, unique and centralized model comprising all participating agents taking part during the buildings life cycle. This digital model allows the integration of up to 7 dimensions (the 3 physic ones, cost (4th D), time (5th D), energetic and sustainability analysis (6th D) and the facility management systems integration (7th D)), speeding up decision time and erasing mistakes due to a global knowledge of the project thru the model.

With this performance, IDP strengthens its positions as a referent company in projects development thru BIM technology.
