The European DoF project “District of the Future”, within the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) of Research and Development (ICT-2013.6.4 Optimising Energy Systems in Smart Cities) of the European Union.
OBJECTIVES
DoF, aims to develop an ICT-based solution to facilitate the monitoring, management and optimisation of energy production and consumption in three districts in three European cities (Corby, Orleans and Sabadell).
The project uses ICT to collect, record and monitor energy data and feed it into a software platform that will analyze energy patterns allowing a prediction of the energy consumption and energy production behaviour of each district..
