IDP awarded with the safe water supply project at the Comuna de Maipú (Chile)

The IDP Group has been awarded with the renewal and improvement project of the safe water service at the rinconada de Maipú located in the metropolitan area of Santiago de Chile requested by Aguas Andinas, S.A.

Aguas Andinas is one of the largest water companies on Latin America, and is present at different stages of the integral cycle – from the capitation, to the production, consumption, recollection, treatment and environmental restitution- of the water on Santiago de Chile, where the company offers its service to more than 6 million people.

The project will be entirely developed by BIM (Building Information Modeling), which will allow to define in detail the necessary production works contemplating among others the following elements: 

  • 1.500 m3 capacity half-buried pond, next to the hydraulic inter-connections,
  • Feeding conductions and impulsion of the respective flowmeters,
  • Chlorine and Fluor centers,
  • Safe water elevation plant,
  • Facilities complete urbanization.

This will be the first water cycle project to be developed thru BIM n Chile, incorporating the tree physic dimensions, the budget dimension and de planning dimension.

With this performance, IDP consolidates its entrance into the Chilean market and confirms its leadership in the development of BIM projects in Latin America where the company is currently developing more than 80 projects in countries such as Brazil, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, México, Argentina, Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, etc.
