The IDP Group starts the Work Management of the new SEAT automotive battery laboratory in the Martorell (Barcelona) plant, whose construction has a 7 million euro investment.

The automotive company SEAT (Volkswagen Group) is betting on electromobility and with this objective it has started to build the new Test Center Energy (TCE), a pioneer and unique electric battery laboratory in Spain that will allow the development and testing of innovative energy systems for future hybrid and electric vehicles.

The new Test Center Energy (TCE) will consist of an isolated building and two rectangular volumes of different heights and with a surface area of more than 1,500 m2. The interior of the building will include different test spaces, a battery workshop designed and equipped specifically for testing electrified vehicles, a high-tech electronics laboratory, and offices.

The services contracted to IDP have consisted of the development of the civil work project, architecture, the exterior urbanization, and buried networks, as well as the subsequent construction management.

The IDP engineering group is consolidated as a high level supplier in the automotive industry sector, one of the most demanding sectors in terms of time, quality and cost management.
