Newrest Group has awarded IDP the project and construction management of its new production plant specialized in out-of-home catering and multi-sector catering, located in the industrial park of San Fernando de Henares (Madrid).

Founded in 1996, the Newrest Group is today the only operator present in all sectors of catering and associated services: airline catering, buy-on-board, in-flight duty free, concession catering, VIP lounges, rail catering, airport and freeway catering services. With 36,622 employees in 54 countries, the Newrest Group, with a turnover of 1.682 billion euros in 2022, is also the world’s leading independent airline catering company.

The new plant will be located in the San Fernando de Henares Industrial Park, which stands out as a logistics hub in Spain due to its size and strategic location, six kilometers from the Alfonso Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport and with direct access to the N-II highway. The production plant has a floor area of 14,362 m2, distributed in two modules and 16 loading bays.
