IDP’s Regional Director in Rio de Janeiro, Mauro Massa, has met Electrobras Transmission Director, Mr. José Antônio Muniz.

Eletrobras is Latin America’s electric sector biggest holding, and currently has an generation capacity of 42.333 MW, which equivalents to the 35% of Brazil’s total; under the supervision of Mr. Muniz are the 55.000 kilómetros  of the companies transmission lines, which corresponding to the 52% of Brazil’s total.

During the meeting, Massa presentend IDP’s portfolio and explained the BIM (building information management) working platform, which is currently used by IDP for the development of all its projects.

With a wide experience and a notable recognition of the electric sector, Mr. Muniz, who has been president of the two Electrobras fillials – Eletrobras Chesf y Eletronorte, with 10,6 GW y 9,3 GW of power respectively, has expressed his interest in programming a new meeting with the Electrobras of the engineering area heads to advance with the agreements for the projects development thru BIM technology.
