IDP participates in the MAGNUM innovation project for the monitoring and optimisation of water systems in hotels

IDP participates in the MAGNUM research project “A BIM-enabled platform for digital MAnaGemeNt of water footprint in toUrisM”.

The main objective of MAGNUM is to design a new generation software ecosystem for sustainable hotel operations through Artificial Intelligence and BIM-based data interoperability. Built around the water footprint concept, Magnum will provide hotel operators with a highly operational platform that will provide advanced monitoring and control of the main environmental impacts related to the water footprint.

The project will allow guests to be part of the hotel’s water footprint management, offering them personalised recommendations on sustainable behaviour associated with the use of the hotel’s services.

MAGNUM will be implemented over a period of 36 months and is formed by a consortium coordinated by Meliá Hotels International and formed by Cetaqua, Aquatec and IDP, which will lead the development and implementation of the Digital Twin application for hotel assets relevant to water footprint management.

This communication is part of the MAGNUM project, CPP2021-008807, funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033 and by the Unión Europea “NextGenerationEU”/PRTR.
