The IDP Engineering Group in collaboration with the Sant Cugat del Vallès City Council (Barcelona) has taken part at the VI edition of the Smart City Expo World Congress 2016, international summit and meeting point for professionals and institutions worldwide.

The congress, that has taken place in Barcelona between November 15ht and 17th, has counted with the representation of more than 600 cities, 420 speakers, 590 exhibitors and more to 16.000 visitants, becoming into a reference event for future cities and focused on the urban transformation challenges that will guarantee our societies sustainability. 

IDO has presented the CIM (City Information Modelling) model that consists in the implantations of a management system for the urban services based in the BIM 3 D modelling system of all the Sant Cugat’s public services. Thanks to this, the city will be able to establish an order between inhabitants, processes and tool in the new and existing structures.

This app will unify in one data base the existing and future information of each urban services area and will allow to build and open window with the citizens to share information, simplify the incidences processes, foresee and reduce the energy consumption, etc…

In this process the mobile mapping and virtual reality of the BIM model technologies   have been used allowing to measure and obtain more accurate virtual models.

IDP consolidates as a leading company in the development of projects thru BIM technology and consolidates the company’s R&D&I line showing an effort in the implementation of continued improving methods to show its projects value.
