IDP takes part of the Smart City Expo World Congress 2015

IDP will take part at different events in the frame of the fifth edition of the Smart City Expo World Congress, the reference event for future cities that will be taken place in Barcelona from November 17th to November 19th. The congress will reunite representatives from close to 500 cities and will discuss the challenges of the urban transformation that the cities will have to deal with in a close future to guarantee the sustainability of our society.

District of Future (DoF)

The aim of the District of Future (DoF) project is to increase the energy efficiency in urban districts using innovative ICT enabling the authorities and citizens to make the right decisions and optimize the energy systems.

IDP, as member of the project consortium, will be present at the DOF stand and will participate at the ‘stakeholders meeting’ that will be taking place on Wednesday November 18th at 12h, where the project’s scope, goals and results will be disseminated. Jelle Bart van Breest, Technical Manager ICT at IDP Group, exposing IDP’s participation at the project, which consists on the data collection for the analysis, optimization and simulation of the energy efficiency at the districts, standardizing and preparing the data collection, aggregation and process, transmission and data history to be collected in the three districts of the European participation cities: Sabadell (Spain), Orléans (France) y Corby (UK).

III edition of the Smart Train Day at the BcnRail 2015 event

Also, on Wednesday November 18th, coinciding with the fifth edition of the Smart City Expo World Congress, the third edition of the Smart Train Day conference will be taking place integrated in the frame of the Fira de Barcelona International Rail Industry Congress BcnRail.

This third edition will be dedicated to the Smart Mobility concept applied to the railroad environment and will lead on key aspects such as the efficiency and the service quality of the transport by applying the latest technologies.

This year, Eduard Loscos, Innovation and Business Development Manager at IDP Group, will present the HERMES project: Development of smart and flexible freight wagons and infrastructures to improve the granular multimaterials transport, exposing the companies participation from the development of freight bulky loading terminals by the use of BIM technology.

IDP secures its R&D line by participating at several research projects and shows the effort and work for the implementation of continuous improvement processes and the development of new applications that give value to the projects.
