Servicios Aeroportuarios Andino Global awards IDP the project for the new cargo terminal at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas airport

SAASA, an Andino Global company, has awarded IDP the design and construction management for the new cargo terminal at the Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport.

The project includes the construction of a warehouse for handling and self-handling of goods, storage, transport and distribution of air cargo. The warehouse will be divided into two independent areas, although internally connected: an administrative area and a storage area.

The terminal will be developed on a plot of approximately 14,000 m2, with a buildable area of 6,100 m2, located on the so-called Ramp 4 of the Airport, an area that houses hangars and companies dedicated to the loading, handling and maintenance of aircraft.

IDP will be responsible for the development of the project, basic, executive and construction management until its start-up, using the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology. This approach ensures efficient management and compliance with the highest standards in quality, deadlines and costs.

Andino Global has more than 50 years of international experience in logistics and port and airport infrastructure.

The IDP Group is consolidating its position as a high-level supplier in the airport logistics and infrastructure sector and is currently also developing the new DHL Express international express hub at the Josep Tarradellas Barcelona – El Prat airport.
