The IDP Engineering Group exceeds 35 million euros in revenue in 2024 and grows 16% compared to 2023

The IDP engineering group, Spain’s leader in the development of projects using the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology, closes the 2024 financial year with consolidated income of 35.2 million euros, of which 84% of the income comes from the private sector and 16% from the public sector, which represents an increase of more than 16% compared to the same period of the previous year.
During this period, the company has achieved sustained growth and consolidated its position in the market. It has a backlog of €61.7 million, indicating a strong workflow and promising prospects for the future.
Among the projects carried out we can highlight important actions such as the industrial plant for the assembly of SEAT battery cells located in the industrial centre of Martorell (Barcelona) with an investment of 400 million euros; the industrial plant for the production of elecfoil (an essential copper foil for the manufacture of lithium battery cells) of the Korean multinational LOTTE, located in Mont-roig del Camp (Tarragona) with an investment of 1,200 million euros; the DHL Express International Express Transport Hub at Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat airport with an investment of 80 million euros; the project of the Army Logistics Base (BLET) in Cordoba, promoted by the Ministry of Defence, which will be located on an 85-hectare plot in the industrial park of La Rinconada, near Córdoba, with a budget of more than 500 million euros; and the new micro and nanotechnology development plant, Innofab for the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), with an approximate budget of 500 million euros. These projects demonstrate the company’s ability to address complex technological challenges and its commitment to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to its clients.
Investment in R+D+i has grown to 5.3% of annual revenues in 2024, also highlighting the participation in various projects financed by the European Union focused on decarbonisation and digitalisation lines.
In terms of human capital, the IDP Group currently has a team of 569 highly trained professionals. Of these, 82% have a university degree and 32% are women. Diversity and talent are fundamental pillars in the company’s growth strategy.
The IDP Group has a presence in 9 cities in Spain, with offices in Sabadell (Barcelona), Madrid, Zaragoza, Malaga, A Coruña, Cordoba, Tenerife, Las Palmas, Lugo. This wide and diversified geographical coverage allows the company to efficiently serve its customers and strengthen its position in the market.
At the end of the year, the IDP Group was integrated into Bureau Veritas, which has allowed it to make a significant leap into the international market. This integration has made us Bureau Veritas’ new Global Technical Center for BIM and Digital Solutions for Buildings, Infrastructure and Energy, strengthening our ability to offer innovative and high-quality solutions globally.
As for the budget for the year 2025, based on the strong performance recorded in 2024 and previous years, a continuous growth in the financial results of the IDP Group is expected. Consolidated revenues in the period in question are estimated to reach €39.6 million.
