HOUSEFUL Project
OBJECTIVES
Houseful proposes an innovative paradigm shift towards a circular economy for the housing sector by demonstrating the feasibility of an integrated systemic service composed of 11 circular solutions. HOUSEFUL will introduce solutions to make resources more efficient throughout the life cycle of a building, taking into account an integrated circular approach where energy, materials, waste and water aspects are taken into account. This approach encourages new forms of concretisation, increasing collaboration between stakeholders in the housing value chain to develop new circular solutions and services. The HOUSEFUL concept will be demonstrated on a large scale in 4 demonstration sites in Austria and Spain, adapting the concept to different scenarios, including social housing buildings.
The Houseful project has a timeframe of 4.5 years, during which its solutions will be evaluated from an environmental, economic and social point of view. The results obtained will be used to define an integrated Houseful service that will be driven and promoted through a SaaS (Software as a Service). The SaaS will integrate a Circularity Tool to quantify the level of circularity of buildings and will include different circular solutions that will be offered as services, encouraging the housing value chain to redesign traditional business models towards circular ones.
Houseful is an Innovation Action for the Industry 2020 in the Circular Economy call of the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme (H2020).
