I DP participates in the AEGIR innovation project for the reduction of energy consumption in buildings
The IDP Group participates in the innovation project, AEGIR “Efficient, sustainable and inclusive energy use” funded by the EU and framed in the call: “HORIZON-CL5-2021-D4-02-02”, which aims to demonstrate a sustainable digital framework, which drives the deep retrofitting blueprint for near-zero energy buildings, supported by innovative and industrialised high performance and non-intrusive multifunctional solutions to increase the local use of renewable energies.
AEGIR proposes to address economic challenges through the industrialisation and digitalisation of the whole reform process leading to a drastic reduction of time and costs, which prioritises the involvement of local suppliers and resource partners while addressing social challenges through a BIM, with various modular and industrialised solutions and energy management to improve the way energy is used.
The scope of the project is the implementation of a large industrialised and scalable Plug and Play with an envelope solution, based on biomaterials and recycled materials that minimise intrusiveness, reducing embodied energy and harnessing local solar energy, with the aim of designing energy renovation packages and an ecosystem of digital services.
IDP participates in the role of co-defining research and market needs with the development of its technology by performing prototypes and demonstrations to test the project approach.
The project will be implemented over 48 months and consists of a consortium of high-level companies and institutions from Spain, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Romania and the United Kingdom.
