The Balearic Islands Port Authority (APB) has awarded IDP Engineering Group the contract for technical assistance in the drafting of the basic and constructive project for the refurbishment of the harbour of La Savina, in Formentera, with an investment of 7.2 million US$.

With the completion in 2006 of the works on the new Formentera Maritime Station and all these years of use, it has revealed that the progressive increase in users requieres an action to optimize the flows of passengers and vehicles that access this station on a daily basis.

The project aims to optimize these passenger and vehicle flows, as well as to improve roads and pedestrian areas within the service area of the port of La Savina, providing the port with infrastructures adapted to current needs and more comfortable for its users.

IDP will design all the necessary infrastructures using BIM technology, consolidating its experience in port projects, where it is currently developing a considerable number of national and international projects.
