IDP awarded with the project of the Meteorological Radar Tower in Chapecó (Brazil)

The IDP engineering group has been chosen by the Civil Defense Department of the Santa Catarina State (SDC) to develop the basic and executive project of the tower and the needed infrastructure to install the bands system of the meteorological radar for the monitoring and foreseen of adverse events that will be installed in Chapecó (SC)

The tower is located on a 4.198,87 m2 plot, and will have a high of 16,4 m, divided in 5 floors and will cover the 42,74% of the Santa Catarina State territory, more than 40.600 km2 and 138 municipalities in the corridor of large storms. Also its strategic position will allow to send efficient alerts and in the appropriate time frame for the inhabitants not only in Santa Catarina also in other Brazilian States.

The projects will entirely be done with BIM “Building Information Modeling” technology that allows to design, project, organize and direct the digital project construction integrating the 3 physic dimensions such as the budget dimension, the planning dimension, the strategic and sustainability analysis and the Facility Management systems integration.
