IDP has been the engineering company chosen by the Autoridad Portuaria de Baleares (APB) in order to carry out the technical assistance of the basic project, geotechnical survey and constructive project of the maritime terminal at the commercial docs for the Ibiza – Formentera traffic, in the port of Ibiza.

Nowadays, the Ibiza – Formentera line has a rising demand of passengers as well as an insufficient berthing line for the vessels of the shipping companies that offer this service. Thus, it is necessary to reallocate Ibiza’s maritime station to a place near to the city that addresses the existing high demand and that allows a larger berthing line, thus improving the safety of vessels’ manoeuvres.

The new disposition of the maritime structures will allow being able to address the intermodal functional needs and maritime-inland traffic logistics. Furthermore, the building of the Maritime Station, which will be focused on passenger traffic and sales of tickets, and premises for commercial uses, game zones as well as green areas, is considered.

IDP will plan all the necessary infrastructures with BIM technology, consolidating its expertise in port projects, where it is nowadays developing a considerable number of national and international projects.
