The British multinational company SEGRO contracts the group formed by the construction firm Trabis and IDP engineering company to carry out the project of their new logistics park located in Martorelles (Barcelona).

SEGRO is a leading owner, asset manager and developer of modern warehousing and light industrial property and currently manages 6 million sq m of space. The properties are located around large urban areas and key transport hubs in ten European countries, mainly in the UK, Germany, France and Poland, serving customers from a wide range of industry sectors.

The new SEGRO logistics platform of 36,800 m2 will be located on a plot of 5.6 hectares, which is about 20 kilometres from Barcelona and endowed with excellent connections.

Specifically, the services awarded to IDP consist in the comprehensive development of the project (architectural, structures, facilities and logistics process), construction management and commissioning; all meeting the BREEAM building sustainability certification and evaluation standards.

The project will be implemented in full through BIM “Building Information Modelling” technology, in which IDP is a worldwide leading company.
