Barcelona de Servicios Municipales, SA (BSM) has awarded IDP the services for the implementation of BIM methodology in all its divisions and business units, integrating this methodology into the projects, works and maintenance of the facilities it manages.

BSM is responsible for the management of different facilities in the city of Barcelona and develops a wide range of services and activities grouped in the field of mobility and leisure for citizens and visitors to the city.

The object of the contract contemplates the services related to the training and implementation of BIM methodology in BSM and consists of the following phases:

• Determination of the objectives to be achieved by means of the new methodology.
• Training of BSM staff in the procedures and use of specific software.
• Study and proposal of the most suitable technological environment.
• Elaboration of the necessary documentation for the bidding processes, definition of preliminary projects, management of projects and works and the subsequent maintenance of the facilities managed by BSM.

BIM methodology offers multiple benefits such as: savings in costs and execution time, improved detection of interferences and errors, improved processes and allows sharing information in real time between all agents involved in the project, is combined with other technologies, allows integration with databases for operation in the maintenance phase and operations, etc..
