IDP is awarded the project for the refurbishment of the headquarters of the Bank of Spain in Malaga
The IDP Group has been awarded the basic and executive project, project management and health and safety coordination of the works for the refurbishment of the general installations and execution of meeting spaces of the branch of the Bank of Spain in Malaga.
The Banco de España, founded in 1782, is a member of the European System of Central Banks and is also Spain’s national competent authority for banking supervision within the Single Supervisory Mechanism. It has a network of 15 branches throughout Spain that offer their services to the public and to credit institutions.
The Headquarters of the Bank of Spain in Malaga is a neoclassical building built between 1933 and 1936 in the Paseo del Parque in the city of Malaga. It has three floors with an hexastyle portico of six Corinthian columns, in keeping with the symbolic image of a bank headquarters.
The project awarded to IDP includes the complete renovation of all the existing installations in the branch (electricity, data, air conditioning, plumbing and sanitation, fire protection, control) as well as the creation of conference and meeting rooms, office, rest rooms, remodeling of the toilets, new backstage room and the enlargement of the large ticketing and payment booths.
All services will be carried out using the BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology, which allows the design, planning, organization and management of infrastructure information in a parameterized, complete, unique and centralized model throughout its life cycle, from conceptualization to on-site execution, using dynamic 3D modeling software in real time.
This new award reaffirms the IDP Group as a reference company in the development of projects using the BIM methodology.
