Fernando García, Managing director of IDP Data Center and Eduard Loscos, R&D Manager of IDP Group and President of Building Digital Twin Association have participated in the congress The District World Summit held on 21 October 2022 at Fira de Barcelona.

The District is a professional event that has brought together the entire capital value chain present in the real estate industry and where the main investment trends have been discussed, as well as the future of the projects that are leading the current urban transformation.

In this context, The District World Summit 2022, the largest European congress focused on all sources of capital, has also been organized to analyze the latest macro trends related to assets, ESG criteria, technology, and innovation in the real estate sector. More than 380 international experts have participated in the program in 6 auditoriums, with more than 270 hours of lectures dedicated to the real estate sector.

In this framework we participated in the round table “Digital twin as a business opportunity for complete analogue assets”. During the session it was explained how the digital representation of buildings (and not only of their parts but also of their elements) facilitates the periodic management and the specific adaptation of the different spaces to the changing needs of their users and why having a digital environment that allows us to test different operating conditions (such as scenarios for option analysis pilots) in short times and incremental parameters, allows us to ensure that buildings have a better and optimal market performance at all times, something that every investor should take into account.
