IDP participates in the HIBRID-E innovation project for the hybridization of smart energy grids

IDP Group participates in the HIBRID-E project for the hybridization of smart energy grids from components to the system, subsidized by the CDTI and the Ministry of Science and Innovation, framed in the call for the year 2023 “Science and Innovation Missions”.
HIBRID-E‘s main objective is to generate an innovative technological solution that allows the optimization, hybridization, storage and management of grids for the integration of renewable energies. The project will investigate and develop an innovative system of technologies to address the increasing complexity of energy systems and supply more efficiently through technologies and systems for the storage and recovery of energy produced by renewable sources, as well as the management of networks for their integration, technologies for the most efficient use of energy and, finally, increased autonomy in the value chains of energy technologies.
HIBRID-E responds to the challenge of optimising the design and management of a local energy grid in a comprehensive way with the research and development of advanced digital tools for planning and optimal operation of hybrid networks.
IDP participates by leading the fourth work package on Digital Twins and federation of platforms for the management of multisectoral networks, with the aim of defining the architecture of the ecosystem of federated platforms and the Digital Twin that will serve to digitize local hybrid energy systems and provide real-time optimization and interaction between digital and real infrastructures.
The project will be executed over a period of 48 months and will involve the participation of a consortium of Spanish companies and institutions with extensive experience in R+D+i.
