IDP participates in the SAIMIS project for the design, development and implementation of an automated system based on a drone and technological tools for inspection of underground infrastructures, funded by the European Commission under the Grant Agreement Ref. IDI-20180888.

The general objective is the design and development of a technological solution for the control and inspection of underground infrastructures (such as tunnels, galleries, wells, urban sewerage network system and underground pipeline networks, among others).

The project is based on the use of an unmanned aerial platform (UAV) and a geoBIM1 technological tool that allows the automatic storage and analysis of the captured information at a later stage.

The project will be executed within a period of 20 months and the consortium will be formed by GEOCISA and IDP Ingeniería y Arquitectura Iberia, S.L.U.
