IDP participates in the WPDron Innovation Project promoted by the CDTI
WPDron is a collaborative project of industrial research, experimental development and innovation promoted by the Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI), which aims to develop a centralized system for the automated monitoring of the execution of infrastructures in linear civil works based on drones with advanced technological features, specifically developed within the framework of the project, as well as a new technological platform for data exchange, processing and distribution.
To this end, it will focus on the development of an autonomous industrial-grade data acquisition vehicle, the development of a tool for generating 3D models and the associated point cloud and their integration into the system by means of a three-dimensional BIM model integrated with GIS technology to obtain a GeoBIM model (geopositioned BIM), and the assembly of the automation of data collection, its processing as a digital model and the obtaining of results applicable to the requirements of civil works.
The project has a total budget of 1 million euro over a period of one and a half years and will be developed by the consortium formed by FCC Construcción, S.A., UAV Autosystems Hovering Solutions, S.L. and IDP Ingeniería y arquitectura Iberia, S.L.U.
The engineering group IDP consolidates its R+D+i strategy by developing innovative solutions focused on generating value for customers and society, positioning us as leaders in BIM engineering.
