IDP participates in the SOSTEVAL-TEC project for the improvement of sustainability in civil works
The “SOSTEVAL-TEC” project, whose consortium is led by FCC Construcción and is made up of companies such as MATINSA, AENOR, IDP, SIGNE, IECA, GLOBAL FACTOR, DRONE HOPPER, BILDIA, has the collaboration of the technology centres TECNALIA and the Polytechnic University of Madrid, as well as the collaboration of FI GROUP as an external R+D+i consultant. The project arises from the need of the civil works construction industry to increase efficiency, accuracy and cybersecurity in monitoring, evaluation and certification tasks around sustainable development information of its activities, seeking to balance economic and social development and environmental protection.
SOSTEVAL-TEC consists of the research and development of a comprehensive system for the improvement and evaluation of sustainability in the different phases of civil works.
The main objective of the project is to research and develop a series of solutions for the evaluation of sustainability in project management in the construction sector, as well as the review for the immediate correction of elements that deviate from the objectives set. To this end, it is proposed to automate and digitize the evaluation process to make more effective decisions and optimize the sustainability of the project, all through the research and development of three products.
- Innovative methodology to assess sustainability throughout the civil construction value chain and improve decision-making to achieve it.
- Advanced digital platform that incorporates the methodology and a series of advanced technologies based on data capture, digital twins, advanced data analytics and traceability and digital identity. This will improve the accuracy, efficiency and comparability of the results, generating proposals for the improvement of sustainability in the sector.
- Certification system by external agents thanks to a tool that automates the collection of data and its comparison with the standards and evaluation protocols for certification, incorporates innovative digital solutions and technologies that allow the validation of information, and preserves the confidentiality of sensitive data within a supply chain.
IDP participates in the project leading the research of digital solutions for the monitoring, analysis and evaluation of sustainability, with the aim of researching and developing the different modules that will provide differentiating functionalities to the Digital Twin platform.
The SOSTEVAL-TEC project “Research and development of a comprehensive system for the improvement and evaluation of sustainability in the different phases of civil works” has been subsidized through the 2023 Call for Grants co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund to contribute to the improvement of Public-Private Cooperation in the field of R+D+i through the support of Technological Innovation Projects with a tractor effect developed by open innovation hubs in the Community of Madrid, within the framework of the strategic areas of smart specialisation of the Madrid economy (S3), within the ERDF Operational Programme of the Community of Madrid for the period 2021-2027.
