IDP reinforces its BIM strategic alliance with the University, already consolidated with its active participation in the last 5 editions of the MER Master taught by the Fundació CIM-UPC of Barcelona, this time joining as a collaborating entity in the Advisory Council of the master’s degree in BIM Management taught by the UPC School of Barcelona.

Fundació CIM-UPC, founded in 1990, was born with the mission of helping companies and professionals to increase their technological and innovation capacity, through the development of research projects and training activities.  To this end, it offers recognised masters, postgraduate and specific training programmes in the field of Production Technologies.

Fundació CIM-UPC will give its 6th edition of the “Master in Digital Building for 3D Modeling and Construction” offers a transversal training of the BIM methodology, specialized in the use of Autodesk Revit software and its environment. It is aimed at qualified architects and engineers who want to deepen the optimization of the processes involved in the digital transformation of the different phases and disciplines of a building project.

UPC School of Professional & Executive Development (UPC School), founded in 1994, offers an extensive training catalogue with more than 200 annual master’s programmes, postgraduate courses and specialisation courses with a professional focus, adapted to the needs of the economic and social environment, as well as to organisations and their professionals.

For its part, UPC School will offer the master’s degree “BIM Management Steering. Building Information Modeling and New Business Models” offers comprehensive training and a multidisciplinary learning environment that allows understanding and applying the BIM methodology in all phases of a project.

BIM is presented as a paradigm shift in the construction sector, making institutions and companies bet on the integration and training of professionals in this area to increase their competitiveness.
