Santa Catarina chooses IDP for a residues project

IDP awards the contract for the production of the Director Plan which defines the management and treatment of the solid urban residues at the state of Santa Catarina in Brazil.

Santa Catarina State has the highest GDP per capita within the country, integrated by a total 293 municipalities, with an extension of 95.436,18 km2 and a population who overcomes 6 million.

The contract was signed in Florianópolis by Murilo Xavier Flores, President of the Fundaçado do Meio Ambiente (FATMA) of the Governo do State of Santa Catarina, and by Enric Blasco Gómez, Associate-Director of the company of engineering IDP; With the presence of Jose Manuel Rodríguez de Castro, Counselor of the Embassy of Spain in Brazil.

Between the different areas where IDP is positioned, which are engineering, environment and architecture, the area of environment and specially the residues sector is one of the most attractive to go out to the foreign market for the whole khow-how and experience that IDP has been acquiring across the different projects that has already executed in Spain.

The strategic aims are based in promoting the prevention, reutilization and recycling of the materials contained in the solid residues. As well as the valuation, preserving the environment, and stirring the economic sector by integrating the current employees linked into this sector.

The work will be developed in a period of 6 months and will have the participation of multidisciplinary equipment composed by technical personnel of different specialties.

With this work IDP consolidates its presence on the Brazilian market where already has office in Florianópolis, turning into a first level ally for all those Spanish companies that are giving the jump to the Brazilian market, being able to offer them the technical services of quality that already it develops in Spain.
