The Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technical Association (ATECYR) organized past December 2^nd at 09.00 hours at the auditorium of the Official College of Industrial Engineers of Catalonia located at Via Laietana, 39 in Barcelona a technical conference about the information modelling for edification thru the use of BIM technology (Building Information Modelling).

The BIM working methodology, supported by different specialized software’s, allows to design, project, organize and direct the digital construction of the works, integrating all the information in a parameterized, complete, unique and centralized model that share all the involved agents during the buildings life cycle.

Andreu Cortada, BIM Manager at Grupo IDP, participated at the conference where he addressed from different points of view the challenges and test what this new technology represents and that is present in the British and northern Europe and that is increasingly present in our country.

The event, had great success of participation, brought together the principal sector actors to interact during project implementation, engineers, architects, specialized trainers in BIM and administration and generated an interesting debate among participants, denoting the sectors great interest in this technology.
