IPAN Project
The I-PAN project designs an innovative lightweight panel made from wood waste.
OBJECTIVES
I-PAN, “Innovate Popular Low Density Structural Panel”, aims to design the process of large-scale production of structural panels from the wood industry, taking advantage of both wood waste and tree tops (in particular fast-growing trees), optimising the surface finish with innovative resins, minimising emissions and resource consumption.
I-PAN is part of the 7th Framework Programme (FP7) for Research and Development (ENV-2012.6.3 Innovative Resource Efficient Technologies, Processes and Services) of the European Union.
