HOUSEFUL: Innovative circular solutions and services in the housing sector
IDP participates in the HOUSEFUL project framed within the announcement Industry 2020 in the Circular Economy of the Marco Horizonte 2020 Program (H2020).
The project suggests an innovative change of the paradigm shift towards a circular economy for the housing sector demonstrating the viability of an integrated system service consisting of 11 circular solutions. The HOUSEFUL concept will be developed on a large scale at 4 demonstration points in Austria and Spain, adapting the concept to different stages, including social housing buildings.
The HOUSEFUL project counts with a global budget of 8.54 million euros and lasts 4 and a half years, during which its solutions will be evaluated from the environmental point of view (Economic Analysis of the Life Cycle), economic (Cost of the Cycle of Life) and social (Social Analysis). The results obtained will be used to define an integrated HOUSEFUL service that will be propelled and promoted through a SaaS (Software as a Service). The SaaS will integrate a Circularity Tool to quantify the circularity level of the buildings and will include different circular solutions that will be offered as services, encouraging the housing value chain to redesign traditional business models towards the circular ones.
