IDP has been awarded the project for the construction of the new logistics center in the ZAL (Logistics Activities Zone) of the Port of Barcelona in the municipality of El Prat de Llobregat.

ZAL is the intermodal logistics platform of the Port of Barcelona. Its objective is to generate maritime traffic with logistics infrastructure services with added value to the merchandise. A real logistic HUB and economic engine of the city.

The new logistic center is located on a plot of 87,699 m2 and will have an approximate built area of ​​61,933 m2, of which 60,893 m2 will be used as warehouse and an urbanized area of ​​27,222 m2.

Specifically, the services carried out by IDP consist of the development of the executive project, the construction management and the start-up, all in compliance with the LEED evaluation and certification standards for the sustainability of the building.

The project will be executed in its entirety through the BIM technology “Building Information Modeling” of which IDP is a world leader.
