IDP is awarded with the Pernambuco state vice government building’s expansion project

The Engineering Group IDP is awarded with the architecture and engineering projects for the refurbishment and expansion of the vice government building for the establishment of the Agencia Pernambucana de Aguas y Climas (APAC) and the Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico (SDEC) headquarters in the State of Pernambuco in Brazil.

The project is developed under the Programa de Sustenabilidad Hídrica de Pernambuco (PSHPE), promoted by the Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico of the State of Pernambuco.

The contracted action consists in the refurbishment and expansion of two building blocks of the vice government of the state of Pernambuco, where the headquarters of APAC and SDEC will be established. Block A, with a total area of 3.072 m2 will be completely remodelled and in block B, after the existing building is demolished, a new building will be planned with a total area of 530 m2.

IDP will carry out the building projects through BIM (Building Information Modelling) technology, which allows designing, planning, organising and managing the digital construction of the project and the later construction, integrating all the information in a single model parameterised in 7 dimension, completely eliminating the mistakes due to interferences, ensuring the documentary coherence of all the file, and all this in compliance with the building’s quality and sustainability highest standards.

The Group IDP has been present in Brazil since 2011, with offices in Florianopolis, Rio de Janeiro and Belem, carrying out projects in 15 out of 26 Brazilian states and with a structure of more than 70 technicians that form a totally multi-disciplinary team, positioning itself as a leading company in engineering, architecture and environmental projects using BIM methodology.
