IDP opens a new office in Santiago de Chile

IDP engineering group has opened its new offices in Chile, located on the 5th floor of the building on the street Apoquindo 5583 in the district of Las Condes in Santiago de Chile.

The new offices, with capacity for more than 40 technicians, have modern and multifunctional facilities equipped with the latest technologies, cloud services, high-performance videoconferencing systems, collaborative project platforms and BIM applications. All of this facilitates the collaborative work between the rest of the Group’s offices in Spain, Brazil, Peru and Ecuador, allowing to continue its international expansion.

IDP has been present in Chile since 2015, has a significant portfolio of projects for strategic clients such as Aguas Andinas, OHL, Sacyr, Suez, Maxam,…, and is acting both in civil engineering, building and environment, and counts with Alex Marín, as General manager, civil engineer and MBA.

On the occasion of the recent inauguration, IDP Chile was visited by representatives of the Ministry of Public Works (MOP) of the Government of Chile, specifically the Concessions Division, and were able to check first hand the potential of BIM “Building Information Modeling” which the Chilean government wants to make its work methodology.

IDP Chile establishes itself as leading company in the engineering, architecture and environment projects field using the BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology, which allows you to design, plan, organize and manage digital construction project and subsequent work, integrating all the information in a single model parameterized in 7 dimensions, completely eliminating errors due to interferences, ensuring documentary consistency of the entire file, meeting the highest quality standards with the consequent reduction of deadlines and costs.

Currently the IDP Group employs a multidisciplinary team of more than 300 technicians, and is developing projects in 34 countries from 4 continents (Africa, America, Asia and Europe) both for the public sector and the private sector.
