IDP participates in the Europe GeoBIM congress
The congress GeoBIM Europe 2016 gathered participants from infrastructure, engineering and administration fields to talk about the fusion of the geo-spatial technology and the BIM technology to solve infrastructure problems in Europe, also stressing the technology’s applications for regional and world-wide development.
IDP presented in the GeoBIM international congress the company’s breakthroughs in this innovative field, taking advantage of the R+D project INTERMODEL EU first results, which it coordinates, as well as the CIM project’s results, carried out for the Sant Cugat City Council and which has integrated the project Future Cities Pilot 1 of the OGC.
R+D Manager at IDP, Eduardo Loscos did the presentation and later took part in the experts board jointly with Herman Winkels, BIM Programme Manager of the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructures and Environment, Väino Tarandi, professor at the Rolay Intitute of Technology of Sweden (KTH), Guido Sabatini of the European Builders Confederation and Hans Viehmann, EMEA Product Manager at ORACLE. The board was coordinated by Ignasi Pérez Arnal of BIM Academy.
