International women’s day 2026
On March 8, we join the commemoration of International Women’s Day, promoted by UN Women and the United Nations, under the slogan: Rights, justice and action by and for ALL women and girls.
This year, the global message emphasises the need to continue moving towards real equality, overcoming those barriers that can still limit the full exercise of women’s rights in legal, regulatory and social spheres. Although significant progress has been made in many countries, legal differences between men and women still persist. According to current data, women worldwide have approximately 64% of the legal rights recognized to men, a figure that shows that there is still a long way to go.
This 8M also coincides with a relevant moment, prior to the celebration of the largest annual UN forum on gender equality, the Commission on the Status of Women, which reinforces the importance of placing justice and equality at the centre of the global debate.
At the IDP Group, as a firm entity of the United Nations Global Compact since 2017, and committed to the 2030 Agenda and the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we once again reaffirm our commitment to gender equality. From 2024, this commitment is further strengthened by becoming part of Bureau Veritas, aligning ourselves with its global standards and policies on sustainability, diversity and equality.
We are constantly working to integrate the principles of equality, justice and empowerment into our policies, projects and organisational culture. We promote responsible practices that respect and protect human, labor and environmental rights, fostering real equality at all levels of our organization.
At the IDP Group, we believe in people and are committed to gender equality, diversity and talent development. We work daily to build an environment without inequalities or discrimination.
