IDP starts the work direction of the CTRM Gavà – Viladecans

IDP starts the work direction of the Gavà  – Viladecans Municipal Waste Treatment Center (CTRM) optimization project, which implies an 10 million dollars investment to renew the facility that processes the packaging and bulky waste from a big part of Barcelona’s metropolitan area.

The new light packages treatment facility will dispose a completely new machinery and will operate automatically, having a capacity to treat 24.000 tons/year. 

As regards bulky waste, the investment will allow the installation of a new treatment line, which until now was outdoors. This new line will be one of the most modern ones in Europe, counting with different separation equipment’s depending on the size and the material of the waste. This facility will have a capacity to treat 50.000 tons/year.

The works to be developed by IDP will include an integral service for execution direction, quality control supervision, temporal planning assurance, economic monitoring, safety and health coordination, etc… thru the formal end of the works and setting up of both facilities.
